SADDLE N SPURS SALOON
BOOT SCOOTIN’ REVIEW
2333 N Jones Blvd #108 Las Vegas, NV 89108 INSIDE: This is a very unique Honky Tonk Saloon. When you enter the venue you are automatically reminded of what a real western saloon must have been like. There’s lots of western motif, a real hard wood dance floor that is well maintained. The food and drinks are reasonably price. The Bobby Kingston Band was outstanding on this Saturday night. All country western songs were a dance-able tempo with a mix of two-step, line dancing and swing. The staff and patrons are so friendly and helpful especially when we tried to learn a new line dance. This New Line dance (“Rock Me” was a familiar dance to us, but slightly different than the way we learned it. But it was close enough that we just adapted to the different steps and had so much fun! When we first arrived, we thought the dance floor might be too small, but that was not the case, because the dancers were polite and considerate, a fun time was had by all. It was a very personable group of people. We highly recommend this place for its décor, its rockin/dancin country music, its good food and we love it that we got to dance two-step, line dances and swing. This is among the best the places we visited for country western dancing!. WooHoo! We loved this place and plan to return to it on our next trip out this way! Age range: 40+ We were there from 7-10 pm and crowd remained mostly in this age group. Dress Code: Western casual. Lots of boots, cowboy shirts and cowboy hats. Dance Floor: Wooden floor. It is a small to medium wooden dance floor that is well taken care of. We enjoyed dancing on it Dance Mix: 2 Step, line and some swing. The band called the dances, which made the evening very fun for us. Usually, if your are dancing at a new place, it’s harder to get going if you don’t know what dance is coming up. Dance Music: Popular and classic western. We found that both the band and the Jukebox played very danceable music. Live Music: Yes. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and have entertainment nightly with no cover charge. Dancing: Two-Step, Line dancing and WCSwing Dance Lessons: Not while we were there on a Saturday night. They do have free dance lessons several nights a week though. Food: Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are reasonable Beverages: Coffee and drinks. Also reasonably priced. Restrooms: Small, but very clean. Security: None that we noticed. We felt very comfortable with the crowd there, and free parking is available right outside the door. ATMOSPHERE: This place has a great Old Time Country Western feel to it, and it made for a really fun place to dance. The Band and Jukebox did a great job, and we danced most of the dances while we were there, including two-step, line dancing and swing. The other dancers were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable dancing there. Lots of people, including the owner, came over to our table to say hello and introduce themselves to us. NEWBIES: This is a good place for new/inexperienced people to learn to dance. They have free lessons, great CW dance music and fun people on the dance floor who will help you out. FINAL THOUGHTS: If you are in Las Vegas, and love to dance, SNS is a must visit! You will have a great time and will be just like us…WE CAN’T WAIT TO DANCE AGAIN AT SADDLES N’ SPURS SALOON.
